World Disability Day: A Story of Triumph and Support

On December 3rd, the world marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day to highlight the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and to celebrate their achievements and contributions to society. This year's observance reminds us of the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and support for individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and reach their fullest potential.

One such inspiring story is that of Master Parth Mehrotra, who recently completed his Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) degree from Amity University Lucknow in 2023. Parth’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable, demonstrating resilience, hard work, and the critical role of supportive environments in overcoming challenges.

Born prematurely, Parth faced significant health difficulties from the very beginning, with doctors warning of limited survival chances. Despite these early challenges, Parth’s determination to lead a normal life, coupled with the unwavering support from his family, played a pivotal role in his recovery. As he grew older, his passion for education never wavered, and his pursuit of higher education took him to Amity University Lucknow, where his dreams began to take shape.

Throughout his academic journey, Parth received unparalleled support from Amity University Lucknow, an institution that has long been committed to providing accessible and inclusive education. The university’s faculty and staff ensured that Parth had everything he needed to succeed, from specialized resources to a nurturing and accommodating environment.

In particular, Dr. Sanjay Mohan Johri, the Head of the Department at Amity University, has been instrumental in guiding Parth through his academic endeavors. Dr. Johri’s dedication, understanding, and personalized approach to teaching helped Parth navigate his studies with confidence. His constant support played a crucial role in ensuring that Parth was able to complete his degree successfully.

Thanks to the cooperative and understanding environment at Amity University, Parth not only completed his studies but has now embarked on a path that promises to bring positive change to society. The support of his family, the dedication of Dr. Sanjay Mohan Johri, and the inclusive environment at the university have allowed Parth to defy the odds and achieve his dreams.

On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we celebrate Parth's success and recognize the importance of an inclusive society that provides opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their physical or mental challenges. It’s a reminder that with the right support, everyone has the potential to excel and contribute meaningfully to the world.

Parth Mehrotra is a living example of how determination, hard work, and the support of compassionate individuals and institutions can help a person with disabilities achieve success. His journey from a premature birth to completing his degree at Amity University is a testament to the power of education, healthcare, and most importantly, the belief that with the right help, there are no limits to what one can achieve.
